Last Friday night, our friends the Blackhursts called at around 1:20 AM needing assistance. Lindsey is/was pregnant and her water broke. I was third on the call list, I answered, and within about 7 minutes, was dresses and driving like a mad man to their house. They got to the hospital and everything went according to normal plans, Lucy Christine was born at 8:32 AM, 19.5 inches long, with pretty brownish hair. She is a cutie-patootie!
Ava and Sydnee woke up, walked down the hall and then I called their names back to the play room/guestroom/computer room, and they were surprised and shocked to see me! We had cereal and juice for breakfast, then we watched some cartoons, played go fish, and played Barbies - that Barbie thing was quite an experience! Those girls have great imaginations. Princess came over to relieve me so I could shower and get my haircut.
Later we took the in laws and visited the Hospital where Mom was exhausted, but gracious, and we got to see our newest Blackhurst! A-Adorable!
So there you have it, Boring life, Boring, Boring, Boring - but a very nice all the same.

We are very grateful the girls could have fun with Uncle Jim & Aunt Melanie while we brought little Lucy into the world. You are wonderfully dear friends and we count you both as some of our greatest blessings.
